Few people embody what it means to be a Convict better than Charlie. Charlie coached the Convicts on our first Bingham Cup venture; the tournament where his uncompromising attitude, tireless work ethic and boundless energy set the tone for what the club would become.

As well as being Captain (2005-2008) and President (2009-2010), it’s through Charlie’s biggest contribution has been his coaching, highlighted by winning the 2012 and 2014 Bingham Cups, as well as the 2012 Nicholson Cup in the Sydney Sydney Sub-District competition.

Be it on field or on the sidelines, volunteering for our community or breaking down barriers, there’s little Charlie hasn’t thrown himself at with his well-known tenacity. An exemplary Convict, he was life membership in 2011.
